This was an MFA project for both designer and director, and it went up my first month in the program. It think the scenery budget was $200. The theatre is a "black box" with a fixed thrust stage. Since the actor playing Artie didn't play piano, we had a faked piano with speakers - unfortunately, it sounded like it. This was a tough show to design.
