Comedy of ErrorsBy William Shakespeare |
Produced: December, 1988 This was a laboratory theater production, concieved by the director as a circus and quite cleverly adapted. It was as if a circus company had decided to do the play, and brought to it all of their circus talents. The original production was done in three-quarter round with an intimate audience relationship. When it was invited to ACTF it had to be restaged for proscenium, which meant redesign and a lot of restaging. This was one VERY prop-heavy show. Our laboratory theater paradigm is a class, and the enrolled students, all of whom performed, also did the props and costumes. |
